I received recently an email from one of my customers with a hack that I would like to share.

Also I think this registry change can only be done on the hx4700 Pocket PCs because I cannot find this registry entry on my other Pocket PCs.

The registry entry that I changed is found in:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
SOFTWARE
Drivers
HTC_Misc
ProgressBar

here you can chage the color, height, and width of the progess bar you see when you do a soft reset on the Pocket PC.

Normally the default characteristics of this progress bar is blue and very thin.

I changed mine to be green and thicker with a red background by editing the following entries:

BarBackgroundColor 55555 Decimal Entry

BarColor 75555 Decimal Entry

BarHeight 55 Decimal Entry
